Welcome to Creativa! I'm Mrs. Say, and I'd love to share a little about myself, how Creativa began, and why this school means so much to me.
I'm a mother of four and a grandmother of two. In 2009, while pregnant with my fourth child, I decided to open my own preschool. It began with a dream that God turned into a reality: a place where children would receive a strong educational foundation while feeling as loved and cared for as they would at home.
As a mother, I had seen things I felt were missing in the school system. I wanted to create an environment where learning was thoughtful and purposeful, and where each child's needs were recognized. Those early years are so important, and I wanted to make a difference from the very beginning.
That belief is behind the work I have put into developing a specialized curriculum tailored to each age group, with room to respond to children's individual strengths and needs. Through hands-on experiences, creative exploration, and intentional teaching, our goal is to help children leave Creativa well prepared for their next chapter. We want them to grow academically while also developing confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
It is also why I believe so deeply in early intervention. Paying attention to a child's development, recognizing when extra support may be needed, and working alongside their family can make a meaningful difference. I want families to feel they have someone beside them who cares about their child's progress.
But what makes Creativa special goes beyond our curriculum. It is in the everyday care, the familiar routines, and even the home-cooked, abuela-style meals. I have always wanted our school to feel like a second home, where children feel comfortable being themselves, trying something new, and knowing they are loved.
That sense of belonging includes everyone. Whether you are a child, a parent, or a member of our staff, you become part of our Creativa family. To me, building a school also means building a community where we support one another and celebrate our children's growth together.
My dream was never simply to open a preschool. It was to make a lasting impact in children's lives and help build the foundation they would carry with them long after leaving our classrooms.

Meet Our Teachers →The name "Reggio Emilia" refers to a small city in northern Italy that has a long history of emphasizing early childhood achievement in education. Children are active protagonists in their growing processes.
The foundation of the Reggio Emilia method of teaching is the idea that each child is born with extraordinary potential and enters the school with a variety of skills that can be developed. The educational philosophy believes that children have the capacity to grow and that every one of our children has individual rights.
At Creativa Academy we adapt the Reggio Emilia philosophy — learning through art, play, and each other. Using different materials in our curriculum, such as recycled materials, allows the children to explore their creativity while learning about conserving our environment.
Creative expression is woven into every day.
